EMPH Admission Requirements
Application for admission to the Executive Master of Public Health (Executive MPH) programIn order to be considered for admission to the Executive MPH, applicants must:
- Have a bachelor's degree with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Have at least three years of professional experience in the healthcare industry
- Complete the Graduate School Application
- Submit payment for the Graduate School application fee (Tk. 800)
- Submit official transcripts from all school, college and universities from which you have obtained a degree(s)
- Submit three letters of recommendation (preferably one from your current manager/supervisor) from academic or healthcare professionals qualified to assess your potential for success in the Executive MPH and in the healthcare field
- Submit a professional résumé that clearly outlines your professional healthcare experience
- Submit a typewritten essay of approximately 500 words, addressing the following: (1) your career objectives and how the Executive MPH course offerings leading to the MPH will help in reaching them; (2) a description of how your career has progressed to this point; and (3) your personal view of the current status of our healthcare system
EMPH Schedule of Courses
The Executive MPH is a hybrid format graduate program, in which students will attend classes face-to-face every weekend per month, and the remainder of the coursework will be facilitated and completed in time. This format offers students quality interaction with world renowned faculty as well as their fellow students, while also providing the convenience of completing a portion of the coursework online.Face-to Face Class Meeting Dates for the Executive MPH in the Fall of 2012:

The total cost for the Executive Format MPH (EMPH) is Tk. 2 80 000. Fees are payable in credit based installment & at the beginning Tk.20 000 of first semester and are nonrefundable once payment is made as admission fee after smooth completion of degree Tk. 5000 will refund as caution money, regardless of the student's ability to complete the semester.
The total cost includes:
- All course tuition and fees
- Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks on the day of each on-campus weekend
- On-campus wireless internet fees
- Payne Center (on-campus wellness and recreation center) fees
- Group tutoring for select courses
- Special program events such as Orientation, Graduation Celebration, etc.
EMPH Curriculum
In order to graduate from the EMPH, a student must complete all courses with a GPA of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale which no more than one "C" grade.
Each student is required to take a capstone course in their last semester. At the end of this course, every student will submit in writing and give an oral presentation of an approved case to a panel of faculty members. This written case and oral presentation serves as the University's required comprehensive examination.All EMPH students must take all required courses in the required sequence and at the required time.

Courses are designed to have 27 or 36 hours in the classroom. The remainder of the required hours will covered by other assignment based course work.
